Basics Everyone Should Know About “Hauntings” – #1

I am known by my students, clients, friends, and family to be a blunt speaking individual. While I make every attempt to be kind in my personal life, in my professional life kindness is not appropriate.  Please do not misunderstand me – I want to hear your story and I want to understand why you have come to me, but I do not have time for you to tell me my business and/or correct me when I am trying to explain something to you. Time is always of the essence in this line of work.

It always amazes me the number of individuals who come to me for assistance who then turn around and try to tell me my business.  They have no valid information whatsoever other than what they have seen in a movie or heard from a friend who saw it in a movie or read it online or some other most likely nonsensical place.  The internet is a source of both information and ignorance and it really is important to understand the difference if you want to make it through life relatively unscathed.

So, just as a head’s up for some people who keep telling me what’s what, here are some basics everyone should know.  I will elaborate further in the future.

  1. Just because you think you are haunted does not mean you actually have ghosts within your environment.
  2. Detrimental Energy Beings (DEBs) come in many shapes, forms, and sizes.
  3. DEBS do not need your permission to attach to you.
  4. DEBs do not need your permission to enter your house.  Vampires are a made up story and if they existed probably would not care about your permission either.
  5. DEBs do not need your permission to attack you or your children or your pets.
  6. DEBs will not leave just because you spray holy water around a room.  That will only make your things wet.
  7. Waving a cross will not make DEBs or ghosts go away.  It is an object and objects have no inherent power over anything energetic.
  8. DEBs will not leave because you read something you found on the internet at them three times.  That is nonsense and only makes you look silly when you shriek that out.
  9. 99.999% of ghosts are not trapped where they died.
  10. Ghosts will not “go into the light” just because you tell them to.  That’s just silly.
  11. Mediums are conduits for communication – the vast majority of them do not know how to make an environment safe for people.
  12. Not everyone who says they are an exorcist or a shaman on the internet really knows what they are doing.  Do your research – buyer beware!
  13. Just because someone’s grandma could see the dead or hear the dead does not mean that they themselves have the needed knowledge base comparable to tending a true haunting or a possession situation.  Please stick with the valid experts so no one really gets hurt.
  14. Just because someone has a tv show does not mean they are compentent, knowledgeable, or effective – or even knows how to tell the truth.  Please brush up your skills of observation to understand the difference between entertainment and professional skills.
  15. The professional exorcist does not dress like a dragged out gypsy.  We are professionals and professionalsim requires us to be discrete in all ways as our clients don’t exactly what a billboard advertisement regarding who visits them.

Yes, I know you had an experience and for many, the experience is actually many incidents over a period of time which have scared you.  I am not here to scare you.  This is why I am not going to give you a master’s thesis on what is going on in your situation nor am I going to teach you about how to take care of it.  When I take on a client, I eliminate what is bothering the client and make their space habitable again.  I will give you some after-care instructions for you to continue to keep your space positive but it is not the end-all of solutions.

I was born to do this work.  Many people like to say that, or they say they were drawn to the work, but the truth is there are very few of us who are born to this work much less effective at this work and many, many more wanna be’s who actually make the situation worse.

Please be careful in making your choices.  Everything you do is an opportunity for both the Light and the Darkness and you are entirely responsible for every choice you make in your life.

Exorcism Needed, but Fear Remains

I am not sure what it is that scares people more – knowing that something wrong is going on in their life or reaching out to ask for help with it.  Recently I have encountered two different individuals who, upon discussion, really needed my help.  I was available for a discussion, but after they broached the subject quickly backed out – it was fine, everything was fine, they changed their mind, it’s all good.

In cases like this, I don’t press people.  You truly have to be ready to give your permission for this work to take place.  You can say ‘yes’ but think ‘no’ and then my hands are tied.  When the situation involves an outside location that is not owned by anyone in particular, that’s easy.  I can do what I need to do without repercussions.

At the beginning of summer, my younger child noticed an ad for a house for sale that was heavily promoted as haunted.  This is unusual as that usually dampens the ardor for old houses.  We went over and viewed the house from the street and knew right away that it was not haunted.  The house had a number of things going on, from a tainted energy well to several mid to high level demons feeding off the well, to just a number of random low level detritus lurking, but there were no discarnates – no ghosts – around.

This place was, in a word, a mess.  These kinds of situations are easy peasy for me to fix, but the true concern was that the realtor had already posted an update that some people who were “amateur ghost busters” were already in the process of purchasing the house without having seen it.

I have met many “amateur” and many “professional” ghost busters and mediums who think they know how to do what I do.  And they don’t.  I am not bragging when I say I was born to do this – for I was designed for this work very specifically.  I don’t have many talents in this world, but I have never met anyone who can do what I do.  And I have a number of shamans who refer out to me, so path of spirituality does not mean anything.

So what to do?  The house looked as if it had been foreclosed upon, the realtor obviously just wanted to dump it as fast as possible, and anyone who actually walked onto the property were going to be munched up faster than an unsupervised child eating chocolate.

My ethical process is usually very black and white, and this time it did not fail.  I pulled up to the curb, parked my vehicle, and cleared the space as thoroughly as I could.  I cleared the tainted well, transmuted out the demons and rounded up the detritus and raised the vibration of the space so that anyone who goes onto the property won’t end up possessed immediately.

More than that, I could not do without proper authorization from the realtor.  I can go into environments and clear situations to save people from that which they don’t understand, but I cannot save them from themselves and their own choices made in fear or ignorance.

Which leads me back to the day’s sadness.  I would have liked to talk with Nikki more, to find out about her grandfather and his situation and see if I could help bring him peace. I enjoy helping people whenever I can and usually will do all I can for whatever price is fair.  It is not about money to me, nor is it about fame for I am incredibly discreet.  For me, this is my path, this is my life of Service, and I do what I can, when I can, wherever I can, for whomever I can.

Regardless of what Hollywood likes to promote, this line of Work is not financially prosperous.  Many people who are drawn to it are drawn to the Hollywood version of ghosts, such as The Sixth Sense, where they will help someone save the day, rectify the wrong, and then will be able to sell the story and make lots of money because they were in the right place at the right time.

I have dozens and dozens of stories.  I don’t sell them, I share them briefly as needed with the individuals who hired me, and when I am done I am not just sending “something” off to the Light.  It’s gone.  It won’t come back and whatever drew it to you or your place is going to be fixed to not have that happen again.

So Nikki, email me.  Let me help your grandfather so the end of his time here is peaceful and not beleaguered.   Let’s make your last memories of him happy and leave you at peace as well.

One of the first questions I always receive when someone contacts me for help with a “situation” is, “What’s next?” which is then followed by, “It’s all over, right?”

My answer is, inevitably, “No, it’s ‘not over’ and what follows next depends upon the afflicted client.”

Technically I never call a client “afflicted” because there are negative connotations to that word, but really their condition varies between conflicted and afflicted.  When you are afflicted, something is causing you pain, distress, suffering, etc.  The conflicted part comes in when the ego starts to fight with the experiences just completed and whispers that it really was “not that bad” and “we can return to the life we were living”.

This is not true, especially for the one who I just rescued from an imminent demon incursion.  That person is still breathing shallowly and trying to figure out what the heck happened to them and why.  Which is all good – these are the right questions for this person to ask.

99% of the time the people asking the questions we started this article with are the ones who want to pretend they were never inconvenienced by the situation plus they want to deny that the afflicted is a person who needs help and/or assistance but is being denied that by those around him or her.

Our world is filled with fearful, selfish people who want to stay locked up in their bubble of coping and so they want you to stay locked up in your bubble of coping.  When you go outside of your bubble of coping – a la demon infestation explosion – all they want is for everything to go back to the same old, same old.

When I point out that the reason this started is because of an emotional wound that never healed properly they are quick to jump on the bandwagon that the person is “over sensitive”, a “drama king/queen”, is always making waves, does not know a good thing when they see it, etc. etc. etc.

Stop.  Stop already, please.  This is not about you making the person feel even worse about their life now that you have the amunition from this situation to add onto your nuclear bomb you regularly drop onto them.

This is about you, walking away.  Stopping everything and just walking away.  Because that is what they need if you cannot see that their world has just been impacted more than your life ever has and likely ever will because you are already emotionally dead. Which also translates into the knowledge that YOU helped create the situation and you are trying your damndest to avoid taking your fair share of the responsibility.

So – for the record.  No, life will never be the same – but it can be BETTER if the person is willing to gather some courage and do what is needed to do.  It can be BETTER if you just get off that person’s case about everything.  Hold them to standards a reasonable adult should be held to, but be compassionate because that person just survived a war zone and they feel like crap – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

This was an experience for you both, for all of you.  This is a magical world we live in with amazing properties that are completely downgraded and sometimes hidden by the human powers that be.  Stop trying to crawl back into your little bubble of nothing and realize that this is an opportunity for you to take a moment and see what this means for you.

The only people who do not benefit from situations like this are people who have an agenda to stay in their bubble.  Fear, ego, etc. all play into this agenda.  But the curious and courageous few who look outside now that the bubble popped can find out what they are really and why they live the way they do.

I love my Work.  It freaks people out, but I find that this line of Service to the Creator is the most fulfilling.  This is truly bringing the Fallen back to the Light – both in people and in Dark beings.  What is there to not love about that?

We all need a little help in the end.

The Joy of Being an Exorcist

I just completed teaching a Reiki 1 course this last weekend and it is one of the joy’s I get to experience in my life path.  I am fortunate that I have multiple ways to help individuals release, heal, and grow during their lifetime and while it is hard for others to see, my gifts and my paths are intertwined with doing that while developing along my own spiritual path.

The work I do with Michael, whether you want to label me an exorcist or any other word, is exciting and fulfilling for me.  When I encounter those who do not have any experience with this line of reality they always follow the same process towards acceptance of this aspect of my life.  Or, there is that percentage of people who do not accept it and then they fall within one of two camps.

I do not hide what I do within the circles I frequent – it is a part of me and I cannot deny it any more than the average person can deny the color of their eyes.  I don’t flaunt it because I am sensitive to others’ discomfort, and when people do reach a point of rationalizing it in their minds they usually ask questions, ranging from intriguing to outright ridiculous.

My greatest enmity has and continues to be “reality” shows and Hollywood that purport to put out valid and credible information regarding ghosts, hauntings, demons, and possessions.  The second is people who have no hesitation to use their children and/or loved ones in dangerous situations so they can attempt to garner their 15 minutes of fame because they are either too stupid or too selfish to understand the true danger these individuals could experience if there are demons or discarnates present.

The third are religions that have no knowledge based upon reality yet seem to think they are the authorities of the matter because over the centuries the valid ones who did were eliminated by said religious organizations.

I am the type of teacher who loves to have interactions with my students during the class period.  PLEASE ask your questions when you have them, I tell every class, because then not only do I know you are listening but you are also then relating the information I am sharing with you to your own life.

I was designed a particular way, with particular spiritual/psychic gifts, and with a particular personality.  I am not scared when someone is experiencing a full body possession; I am not scared by creepy noises or lights going on and off by themselves.  I live for those moments because they are fun to me; in the beginning they would challenge my abilities and I would grow.  Now, while they don’t challenge me as they did, they are still fulfilling because that is my path in life.

So – for the questioners out there, email me.  I don’t shame anyone for their questions and for those out there who are afraid, email me.  I will help everyone and anyone as best able.  I would rather people contact me directly instead of reaching out to the local paranormal pretender so that I can give valid advice on steps to take instead of you getting hurt by someone stupid telling you to do something stupid.

Stupid, yes.  Not ignorant but stupid – someone who displays a great lack of intelligence or common sense, and in this case that lack is regarding demons and discarnates and their abilities.  The reality I live in is not Hollywood, it is not a place where you can yell “cut” and someone can rush in and make a change or shift their body and then you continue to play act.  I deal with real lives and I help real people get through traumatic experiences in their lives.

But if you set up a situation because you wanted attention and now your child is paying the price for it, I will bitch slap you upside the back of your head.  Just saying…

Exorcism – what is that exactly?

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia New Advent, exorcism is:

(1) the act of driving out, or warding off, demons, or evil spirits, from persons, places, or things, which are believed to be possessed or infested by them, or are liable to become victims or instruments of their malice;

(2) the means employed for this purpose, especially the solemn and authoritative adjuration of the demon, in the name of God, or any of the higher power in which he is subject.

There are multiple reports on the web that will tell you exorcism rates have gone up or have gone down, but just like with all statistics on the web those ‘facts’ really need to be taken with a teaspoon of salt.  I know multiple individuals who do the work that I do and not a single person or entity has asked them if their business has gone up or down, regardless of what religion or affiliation they belong to.

What THAT means is that some are Shamans, many align themselves as New Age Christians, some consider themselves spiritual, and others who identify as Metaphysical.  Personally, I view myself as “spiritual” because no one particular belief system has ever worked for me and as I use gifts such as clairaudience to communicate with the Angelics and Light Beings, that is the closest I can do for labeling myself.

So – if over 25 people I know who do this either part time or full time have never been pinged, I think it is quite safe to say that whoever is creating these reports has very faulty knowledge.

So – back to exorcism.  I don’t use the word myself as it has a LOT of negative connotations with it, from misinformation to outright hilarity, but I do use it when I try to explain to someone who is completely outside the metaphysical word because the word is recognized easily.

The word is recognized, but the individual who does this work comes in many different shapes and sizes.  Some label themselves as Mediums because they can speak with ghosts/discarnates but they never do any de-possession work.

Some like to work with nature and balancing out the energies of the planet from the various ills that have and are occurring that create negative energies.

The majority of individuals I know who have learned how to do this work just choose to not do it for what should be obvious reasons.  Those reasons range from it is just a scary idea that demons etc. exist to the fear of becoming possessed because they are trying to help someone else.

If the exorcist contacted reacts with anything other than curiosity, you may want to reconsider utilizing their services.  Curiosity is not eagerness. Eagerness can be a strong indicator of lack of experience which can lead to the knowledge that they really have not been trained at all to do the work.

If you are concerned about this person’s experience level ask for particular situation examples.  Length of time doing this work means nothing if someone has only done this work twice in 10 years.  Professionals will not mind giving you examples of work they have done, though they ought not provide details so specific that you could track the situation down on the internet.

Again – this work is not for the faint of heart and it is not for someone who has watched some movie and thinks they can talk to spirits so hey, let’s give it a try.

Ghosts are relatively easy to process though there is that percentage that are stubborn and attach themselves to someone or some thing to be able to stay on this plane of existence.  I know there exists a certain percentage of individuals who feel that having ghosts around is really cool, however, their being present on the earth plane is not proper for their soul plus if you are helping them stay that can create negative karma on your part.

I am not going to go into to move ghosts/discarnates along in this article. It has too often been misunderstood and misused and there are too many people out there who simply belong in the “that’s not going to happen to me” category, thus they do something that not only endangers themselves but others.

Please don’t misunderstand me.  I am not going to stop someone from exercising their free will to do whatever they want.  It is the fact that they do things that can endanger someone else who may not have had the situation explained properly or they have not been given the opportunity to exercise their free will that concerns me.

I have dealt with too many young people who saw a movie and decided they would do something “to see what happens” and then end up in situations that are not easily resolved.  The fear and pain they feel from what they have acquired thus keeps them from helping themselves, sealing the demons and detritus within them and leaving those outside of them unable to assist.

Ghosts/discarnates are easier to deal with than the demon category.  Working with the land is easier still.  Demons should never be attempted unless you have worked under the eye of someone who has not only the skill to take care of the situation but can also take care of YOU should you fall prey to that which you are supposed to be ridding someone of.

Just as you would not go to someone for surgery who has not gone to school AND done a lengthy residency under another doctor’s eye, don’t contact just ANYONE to do the work that is necessary.  Reputable exorcists (or cleansers, as I prefer to call myself) will be able to tell you what the situation is from where they are sitting and how much it will cost before they ever come out.  If they give you a standard pricing menu then you may want to look elsewhere.

This work is not the same as a party where you pull out your Ouija board to play pretend.  People can be hurt emotionally, physically, and energetically when screw offs dabble where they should not.

And the truth is, there is an exceedingly small percentage of the people who DO this work who are actually proficient at it.  Most are fooled by the demons to thinking they are gone when, in fact, the demon just hopped hosts.

If this is giving you pause, making you question what you have believed to be true, or causing you to sneer – GOOD.  All these reactions mean you have actually read what this article is about and comprehended enough to have a reaction to it.  This is the first step.

I always give estimates before I work with anyone and I will tell them how many sessions (if more than 1) it will take to clear the situation up.  If it takes more than that I often times eat the extra cost, unless there was way more to the situation than was shared with me.

Free will allows the client to not tell me everything and if they don’t share something pertinent with me, I don’t have the right to necessarily pry into the situation energetically.  For example, let’s say you know grandpa’s been acting very unlike himself for years but you contact me to just have the house cleared because you have had doors open or lights turn on or off.

Well, after I am done the house will be cleared, but it is momentary if grandpa’s possessed.  You might get a whole 24 hours of peace, but after that it is uncertain because that which has possessed grandpa may just attract more things to the space.

You will encounter a large number of exorcists who will assure you up, down, left, right, and sideways that when they are done the space will stay cleared forever. This is not true – and thus this person is not truly an exorcist.  Our world is made up of energy and these beings are also energy.  They are attracted to certain energy frequencies and if grandpa is the lighthouse saying “come on over” you will absolutely have something begin to happen.

I love my work.  This work and my ability to do it explained why I have been the way I have been all my life.  This work fills me with joy.  I love possession work, I love clearing the land/space/environments, and I love the discarnate work.  There are other things in addition to this, but I am not going to dig into that because it can scare people to know about them

I freak 99.99% of people in the Light Community out because of the work I do.  I freak out 100% of those with the fact that the work fills me with joy.  Most people who do this work feel they HAVE to do this work because they keep getting asked to do something and they just fall into the pattern of doing it.  This does not mean they are effective at it – they are just the “go to” person for the area and feel obligated to continue to do so.  In some cases, when someone like me comes into the area, their ego will go so upset that they will continue to do the work even though they are not that good at it.

Many people who do this work are sincere in their desire to help others free themselves from what they perceive as evil.  This is a commendable attitude and belief, however, this alone is not going to make them effective.  Full body possession can be a terrifying situation for someone who is totally not prepared for it.  While some things can be done distantly, true full body possession requires a hands-on approach.  Often this is for the loved ones to be able to reach out and touch the exorcist and know help is actually there.

Do not ever discount the comfort an exorcist can provide by just being present in the space. 90% of my work does not need me to be physically present, yet my being there for clients lends them emotional comfort.  So, I do it when I can.  Since many cannot afford the expenses involved with bringing me to their environment I often do sessions distantly to get the situation under a certain amount of control.

At that point, sadly, the situation is no longer as scary and people state that they are fine with the way it now is and so my services are no longer needed.  This is sad, not because I am worried about losing income, but because the situation ONLY has a band aid on it and will eventually recreate what made them scared in the first place.

I have done work in homes, businesses, historical venues, churches, and stores. There is no ‘sacred’ place that will keep demons away because our world is made of energy and these are energy beings.  Tell yourself to stop breathing air and see how long that works for you. Same thing, though a little convoluted on the example.

I pride myself on discretion; it does not help anyone to act like the crazy person from the movies and it can prevent people from seeking help in the first place. Professional exorcists are just that – professional.  If you get someone in who starts behaving in a way that makes you extremely uncomfortable (I have seen some weird stuff in my time that was supposed to be effective) stop them.  Make them explain exactly what they are doing and why.  If they cannot explain what and why then you ought to have them leave.  It is a 99% chance they have no idea what they are doing and will only complicate the matter greatly.

And, if they say they want to film it or bring in equipment, please note – these are not exorcists.  They are paranormal groupies looking to document “something” to boost their egos.  Every show you watch on TV that purports to be “real” is fake. Promise – fake.  I have encountered two such groups in the past and both were completely intimidated by the work I do.  They like to believe it is all fake and make believe, but you put a proper possession or haunting in their faces and they freak out because they don’t know what to do!  One key person on the show became extremely hostile to me because he wanted to make money off of what I wanted to clear away.  NOT someone you want in your home or work environment!

Professionals will empathize and try to leave your home as untouched as possible. They know you have to live there.  Sometimes it may be necessary to move furnishings around, but exorcists don’t haul in more than a small bag or two of stuff to do their work and they won’t start banging holes in your walls. They won’t want to put cameras up to film everything that goes on either.  These people are just voyeurs who are looking for some validation that they exist.  Go professional – it may cost a little more, but isn’t grandpa’s sanity and your home worth it?

To end up this long diatribe regarding authentic exorcists, use your common sense. Hauntings and possessions are NOT common sense oriented, but that does not mean you need to throw everything out the window because it is new to you.  God gave you some sense – use it to help yourselves and rid yourself of the drama!
